A busy year for Soundbytes…
2018 is proving to be a busy year for Soundbytes. Apart from performing their usual end of term concerts, the choir took part in the Reigate and Redhill Music festival and entered the Adult Choir category of the competition. The adjudicator was Karen Gibson, Gospel choir leader, who led her own choir in a fantastic rendition of Stand By Me for Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding. It was a privilege to have a feedback from Karen, giving us food for thought for our next competition. She awarded us a Merit Star (joint 2nd place) which we were very pleased with given the competition.
Soundbytes will be travelling to Belgium in June for a mini tour! Their first ever tour…staying in Bruges, they will be performing in a grand church there and going onto Ghent for their second performance. They hope to fit in a little sight-seeing and Belgium chocolate tasting whilst on their fleeting trip. I’m wondering if they’ll sample some world-famous Belgium Beer too… ?
